Shoplifting is bad! Yoga is good.

So I realized that I have been forgetting to log my beverages-- its pretty much the same every day: 1 cup of black coffee in the morning and water and tea throughout the day-- black tea, green tea, herbal tea. I'll be sure to let you know if I find a new drink.
Breakfast today was the smoothie this morning (a little different than before- forgot the spirulina at Hank's and put way too much water, and just did grapefruit juice as opposed to an orange-- Monday's was better!) and added a fried egg with a sprinkling of feta! Made a huge difference with the egg.

Lunch= leftovers from the night before, sub fresh spinach for the sauteed stuff.

Activity today was yoga! Which leads me to dinner...

So learned today right after yoga that my pre-made meals won't come until after next week, I thought if I ordered week 1 & week 2 that they'd arrive week 1 and week 2, but alas, they are cooking the meals this week and next! So I ventured to Greenlife (Wholefoods) as I was starving after yoga. The only meat at Greenlife was chicken in a sauce that was made with sugar- of course! So I called Hank and we decided to meet at Mojo Burrito, but not before I picked up some chicken I am currently baking for meals the rest of this week and bananas as well.

I get to Mojo, only to realize, I walked straight out of Greenlife without paying for my chicken and bananas! I couldn't believe it- I guess I was just too relaxed. And yes, I did go back to pay! But not before first getting my dinner at Mojo: spinach, steak, red peppers, red onions, tomatoes, cilantro, black olives. One thing to note-- easily could have made this myself...and the good thing about making it yourself is you can have more if you are still hungry...which I am still hungry! It was quick and easy though, I must say... :)

Because I am still hungry, I tried an experimental snack. Since I cannot do the agave nectar, I replaced it with a banana (the bananas I used before were dried- which I don't like, if anyone would like a box of dried bananas, let me know). Pretty decent! The agave was better, but this will do.

Ingredients: 2 handfuls of each: pecan pieces, blanched almond pieces, 1 banana all mixed together, sprinkled with cinnamon, bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

Hank and I laughed about how, just a week ago, we would've been like, ehh this snack is okay, and now we are saying-- this is the best!! Someting sweet, woohoo!

Today, I learned not to make any major life decisions or go shopping for that matter after a relaxing yoga class. Thanks Tiffany for a great class!

I am grateful that just about a year and half ago, I gave yoga a second chance. The first time I tried yoga I thought I'm not breaking a sweat, what is the point? During a period in my life when I was stressed out and anxious and looking for something to help "center" me as they say, I found yoga does just that (as did rediscovering my faith which I'll talk about more in future blogs) I feel rejuvenated, renewed and of course relaxed after every class-- and it helps with overall fitness- a great active recovery!
